Piquant Black Pepper Essential Oil is a sensual and spicy essence with warming qualities. Distilled from the unripe berries of the pepper shrub, this ancient aromatic spice has been sprinkled on food to season and preserve and it has boosted the embalming processes in early Egypt. One of the earliest commodities to travel the spice route, pepper was considered more precious than gold, causing countries to war over who would control the cultivation of this potent plant. Today pepper is seen as a partner to salt, yet its sharp, spicy taste pales in comparison to its myriad of merits. Black Pepper's secret power is its warm, energizing, and igniting amorous ablution.

Mix in a muscle melting massage oil with juniper, arnica, and marjoram. Take advantage of the oil's appetizing aroma. A dash of pepper in perfumes creates a spicy shift towards an enticing sensual-aroma. Pleasant in salt pipes or a diffuser to fight fatigue, rev respiration and maximize mental focus.

Pungent pepper possesses plenty of phytochemicals including terpinoid hydrocarbons, piperine, pinene, caryophyllene, limonene, sabinene, phellandrene, oleoresins, and alkaloids. This cosmic combination creates a fortifying fragrance that emits a warm, penetrating aroma that is intellectually invigorating and increases concentration. These warming qualities make pepper a respected rubefacient that is beneficial in massage to assuage and energize. Moreover, pepper's spicy secretions are prized in perfumery for making fiery, sensual accords and musky aromas.

"Black pepper enables us to listen to the inner voice of inspiration and to take chances knowing that whatever happens, we alone have taken them."
~ Valerie Ann Worwood, Aromatherapy for the Soul

"Pepper has a warming, comforting quality which makes it useful for feelings of cold, either of a physical or emotional nature. It has been described as an aphrodisiac, probably due to its powerful stimulating effect."
~ Julia Lawless, Aromatherapy and the Mind

"Such epithets, like pepper,
give zest to what you write;
And, if you strew them sparely,
they whet the appetite:
But if you lay them on too thick,
you spoil the matter quite!
~ Lewis Carroll, Poeta Fit, Non Nascitur
