Our gorgeous Green Hojari Frankincense grows in grassy savannas, blooms in fragrant white flowers, and is bedecked with propitious paper-layered bark that is as cherished in local home apothecaries as the gifts of the tree’s sea-green sap clusters.  This redolent resin is hydrodistilled in small batches in customary copper alembics. The essence exudes a crisp green-aroma reminiscent of pine sap, camphor, and a heavenly hint of the softest lime-mint. This frankincense’s verdant edge is peerless in perfumery as an incandescent top note or as an addition to floral and fougère fragrances.

If you are a fan of Frankincense, you will adore this new addition like a breath of fresh air.

Uses: While every type of Frankincense is beautiful for skin and oral care, divine in diffusers, and focusing in meditation, Frankincense Dalzielii is also dreamy for censing ceremonies and situations. Its long-lasting essence is beautiful in baths and perfect for perfumery as a single note or as an addition to floral and fougère essences.
Constituents: While hearty alpha-pinene levels bring peace of mind and are comparable to Sacra, Carterii, and Frereana, yet, its luminous, sweet, citrus scent suffused with smaller shares of character-building constituents of α-copaene, carvone, sabines, myrcene, camphene, incensole, bornyl acetate, α-cubebene, α-thujene, and γ-terpinene.

The Boswellia dalzielii tree thrives in the wooded savannas of Western Africa. The long, narrow pale green leaves sprout unevenly from the shrub and exfoliate before small white flowers bloom. The peeling, papery bark exudes a soft, yellow-tinted resin. This fragrant resin is dried to a crystalized gum before it is slowly steam distilled to liberate the verdant, volatile compounds.

The resinous citrus-mint candy scent sets Green Hojari apart from other Frankincense types. The effect is calming, relaxing, harmonizing, and cleansing. As with all types of Frankincense oils, dalzielii is super-soothing and calming for the skin and the mouth. It is beautiful in a diffuser or a salt-pipe as a botanical-biotic for easy breathing in colder months. Each variety of Frankincense is a fulsome force, the hint of mint and soft-citrus imbued Green Hojari offers ancient, aromatic portal as to why Green Hojari was the cologne of the immortal.

"Whenever we look in historic writings, myrrh and frankincense have been consistently employed for ritual, healing, transition, and transcendence."
